David M. Klymyshyn was born in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, Canada, in 1968 and grew up in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. He received the B.E. (1990), M.Sc. (1995), and Ph.D. (1998) degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. His M.Sc. thesis is entitled "A Power Amplifier Linearizer Using Adaptive Polynomial Predistortion" and his Ph.D. thesis is entitled "Direct GMSK Modulation at Microwave Frequencies".

From 1990-1994, David Klymyshyn worked as an Electronic Design Engineer for SED Systems, Inc. in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. His work involved RF and microwave design of satellite test and communication systems. During his employment he spent time in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in Cornwall, UK, and in Singapore.

David Klymyshyn is currently an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan and an Affiliate Professor at Telecommunications Research Laboratories (TRLabs) in Saskatoon. His research interests include wireless and satellite communication systems, RF and microwave circuit design, and DSP applications to communications. He has authored a number of papers and has received several patents in microwave transmitter architectures. For more information, click below: Papers/Patents

Professor Klymyshyn is a Member of the IEEE Communications Society and the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society. He is also a Registered Professional Engineer in Saskatchewan. He is married to Sherry Klymyshyn. She has a B.Ed. from the University of Saskatchewan and is a professional teacher of ESL (English as a Second Language) in Saskatoon. Dave enjoys brewing wine, classical music, Japanese Koi and fish ponds.
