Building the Next Generation Internet / Network Workshop

Date: Nov 09, 2007
Location: Edmonton, AB

The evolution of the Next Generation Internet/Network (NGI/NGN) is embodied by breakthrough research, engineering development and industry deployment. It is a long‐term, continuing, and progressive process that requires investigating numerous options and the collaboration of a diverse set of expertise. The goal of TRLabs’ NGI/NGN research is to develop solutions required to address the challenges associated with today’s Internet, including Quality of Service, performance, management, security, ubiquity and cognizance.

TRLabs provides a rich environment for NGI/NGN R&D and with our academic/industry partners, can facilitate the development of the technologies and applications that will evolve the Internet. By leveraging TRnet, a 10 Gb/s pure experimental research network, our objective is to investigate and develop the technologies and solutions that leverage and harmonize intelligence at the edge with intelligence in the core.
